SDLC
Located in the nook of Maskati Corner, the Speech and Dysphagia Clinic popularly known as SDLC used to be a part of Comfort Clinic. A burgeoning practice in the allied medical field of Speech and Dysphagia required specialised Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy spaces which have their own importance and identity. The clinic initially consisted of three patient rooms and a corner OT room used by the team at SDLC. Being a street facing clinic, the openings bring in constant daylight and ventilation in each room.
A new design approach the patient rooms were revisited and converted into Occupational Therapy rooms, a break-out room for the team and 2 meeting rooms. The layout was re-designed such that each space overlooked the busy Kemps Corner bridge and the junction. Keeping the overall colour palette neutral, the occupational therapy rooms sports pop of colours with kid’s wall climbing equipment’s, the monkey bar etc. that instantly transforms the space making it bright and lively. With all the rooms oriented towards the road, a centrally airconditioned space opens to a reception desk along with a space for seating in the corridor
